St Bede’s C.E. Primary School is a voluntary aided Church of England Primary School, and as such, receives financial support from the Church in partnership with the Local Education Authority.

SchoolThere are currently 449 children on the roll and the school is currently over-subscribed by local children.

The school was last inspected in January 2010 and achieved a ‘excellent’ rating in key areas such as ‘Achievement Standards, Personal Development & Wellbeing, Teaching & Learning and Overall Effectiveness.'

Over recent years the school has evolved to provide before and after-school facilities as well as a holiday club and private day nursery ‘Baby Bede.’

The school holds Easter, Harvest, Christmas and Leaver’s services in church whilst the leaders and clergy from St Bede’s regularly visit the school and take part in assemblies as do other local church leaders, notably from the nearby Salvation Army Community Church.

Visit St Bede C.E Primary School for more information.
